If given the chance to do everything all over...I would ask a judge when the payment schedule was set up about the possibility of the person moving out of state and what the consequences would be.

A good uninsured/underinsured policy would have eased the process for me. Also, there would have been more money available to recover.

I'd completely forgotten about [our renters insurance], other than the occasional grumbling under my breath about spending $20 a month on it while we were on welfare. I've never been so happy to say I was wrong about something in my life!
